SunRose of the Black Hills

"SunRose of the Black Hills" is a public mural that was installed in summer of 2026 in downtown Rapid City, SD. Dani was awarded funding for a public mural installation and was given one of two locations for the budget. The Rapid City Arts Council prompted concepts that were inspired by the beauty ofthe Black Hills. Dani featured four areas in her piece. The Badlands, an aerial silhouette of the cathedral spires near Black Elk Peak, the hills from Rapid Valley, an suggestions of a drive through Spearfish canyon, or a walk around Sylvan Lake.
